Getting my Ipsy glam bag is one of my favorite times of the month because I love to try out new products that I probably would not think of buying for myself. This month's bag is probably one of my favorites that I have received this year! Check out the products I received below:

Okay, you guys totally saw this review coming! I have been completely obsessed with this palette ever since I got it in the mail. There is honestly not one shade in here that I don't love because they are all so good. Many of you may not know this, but the Anastasia Beverly Hills eyeshadow palettes are by far my favorites. The pigmentation in the mattes is so amazing and the shimmers are always blinding and beautiful. This palette was a pretty big deal because it was made by Anastasia's daughter, Norvina. For those you that know what Norvina looks like, it is safe to say that this palette represents her well! She is known for her fun colored hair and makeup. If you do not know what Norvina looks like, her instagram is linked HERE for you to check out! She is a great person to follow because she often gives sneak peaks of new ABH products on her page. Anyways, here is the palette pictured below. Like most ABH palettes, the color story is unique. I have never once thought before buying one of their palettes, "Oh, I'm pretty sure I have all of these shades in other palettes already." The Norvina palette is especially different because it features 7 shimmers and 7 mattes. That is the most shimmers ABH has ever featured in a palette and I am definitely here for it because their shimmer formula is unlike any others I have in my collection. So, if you can't tell by now, I LOVE this palette. There are so many gorgeous looks you can get from this palette. If you have been keeping up with my recent MOTDs and tutorials on my instagram, you have seen the many looks I have been trying out with it! I posted 3 looks that are all completely different. If you're interested in seeing the looks and finding out more about them keep reading below... 1. Neutral Look
2. Pink Look
3. Bold Look
Okay, so that wraps up this quick review/tutorial! I would 100% recommend this palette to all of my followers. It is $42 and now available on the Anastasia Beverly Hills website and on the Ulta website, and will be available at Sephora on August 7th!
I thought this would be an interesting blog post because most of the time people like to discuss products that they like. However, today I am going to talk about high end products that, in my opinion, are not worth spending your money on. Before I get started, I want to say that I am not trying to make it seem like I hate these brands. All of the brands that I am going to talk about have other products that I love and use regularly. Also, if you have one or some of the products I talk about in this post that work good for you, that's great and keep on using them! This is just all about some things that did not work well for me and I wanted to give an honest review on them!
Like I said at the beginning of this post, if you like these products please keep using them because makeup works different on everyone's skin! But, these were just some products that did not work out for me personally. If you guys want to see more posts like this or have any suggestion of what you want to see on my blog let me know!
I was so excited when Dakota asked me to do the makeup for her 2019 Senior Spokesmodels. I knew from my own experience how amazing Dakota's photography skills are and I could not wait for my makeup looks to be featured in her pictures! On July 8th, my sister, Cate, and I went to Wilmington, NC for the photoshoot. We had a full day ahead of us with 12 girls' makeup to do. We arrived at Dakota's house and set up our makeup station. When all of the girls arrived Cate started doing face makeup and I started doing the eyes. Dakota's house was such a fun environment for everyone to get ready in. Gianna Democko was upstairs styling the girls with her bright and colorful outfits from shopgiannarose.com, Peyton Memmelaar was in the corner across from me doing everyone's hair, and Dakota was walking around taking fun pictures of everyone getting ready! After everyone was ready, we all headed to Neon Fox Studio in Downtown Wilmington for the photoshoot. I can not even begin to describe how bright and beautiful the Neon Fox Studio was! All of the walls were white brick, there were big palm leaves, a super cool white neon sign, and to top it all off, the room had the BEST lighting I have ever seen in my life! Dakota filled the room with fun props such as colorful balloons, lemonade, flamingos, and popsicles. I seriously wish I could have been a Spokesmodel my senior year because it looked like all of the girls had so much fun... and I even had fun just watching them take pictures! Below are my favorite looks that I did for the shoot. I honestly loved the way every single look turned out so it was hard picking my favorite ones! If you are interested in seeing all of the looks from the Senior Spokesmodels Summer Session check out my Gallery where you can view them all!
Also, SENIORS!!! Whenever you are deciding who you want to take your senior pictures, I highly recommend Dakota Hersey. You can read more information about her and her photography business on her website, dakotaherseyphotography.com/. P.S. This is my first blog post ever and I know there are some things I could probably improve on. If you have any suggestions of topics you would like to see in another post or your opinions on this one, please leave me a comment on this post or send me an email! Thank you guys! |
